Indian skin is naturally rich in melanin, making it resilient but also prone to pigmentation, tanning, and acne due to environmental stressors. Here’s a simple yet effective skincare routine tailored for Indian skin.
1. Cleansing
Use a gentle cleanser with neutral ingredients to remove dirt and excess oil while preventing breakouts without altering the ph of skin. As altering the ph leads to dryness or make it more prone to damage.
2. Hydration
Hydration is crucial for maintaining healthy skin to ensures skin cells are adequately nourished, promoting elasticity and a youthful appearance. Dehydrated skin can become flaky, dry, and more prone to wrinkles. Proper hydration also helps regulate oil production, reducing the risk of breakouts, and strengthens the skin’s barrier, protecting it from environmental damage. Ingredients like Bamboo Extract, Hyaluronic acid, vitamin e, yuzu, Snail mucin helps to hydrate without altering the skin environment.
3. Sun Protection
Sunscreen is non-negotiable in India due to high sun exposer! Choose SPF more than 30+ with broad-spectrum protection to prevent sun damage, premature aging, hyperpigmentation and reducing the risk of skin cancer. Choose a sunscreen use helps protect against harmful UVA and UVB rays. The “PA” rating system, with more plus signs (e.g., PA++++), indicates higher levels of UVA protection. Even on cloudy days, the sun’s rays can penetrate and damage the skin, making sunscreen application a year-round necessity. Ingredients like zinc oxide, Edelweiss Extract, Vit e are neutral and very effective against sun.
4. Targeted Treatments
For concerns like dark spots or acne, serums contain yuzu,3times more potent than vitC, snail mucin, kojic acid, Tranexamic acid, glutathion and Papaya Fruit Extract can help improve skin tone and reduce inflammation.
5. Day Care
A soothing moisturizer with hydration,antiageing and soothing properties are best. Moisturiser should be choosen according to skin type whether the skin is oily or dry or combination. For the dry normal and combination skin. Neutral ingredient like Tremella Mushroom extract, yalng yalng extract,shea butter , avocado oil best for skin type other than oily skin. Ingredients like Snail mucin, 10% vit b5, Sage, Witch Hazel shoots better for oily skin.
6. Night care
Night creams are important because they offer intense hydration, aid in skin repair and regeneration during sleep and address specific skin concerns like aging and pigmentation. They are formulated with richer ingredients than day creams, targeting the skin’s natural repair processes while you rest. Ingredients like propolis (excellent healing property), ginseng, alovera, hyaluronic acid, brich not only heal the skin but also reverse the environmental damage and aging process.
